Project Reveal :: Simply Shiny Life
A couple of weeks ago, my friend Kristy asked for help giving her blog an updated look. This was fun for me because Kristy and I go way back – she was one of the first people I “met” right after I opened my Etsy shop five years ago, and we were on a few jewelry teams together – so it was cool to get a chance to work with her in a new way.
And her blog redo was very much a collaborative effort, which I loved. I may have designed a new banner and put together the details, but the credit for the design (if we’re keeping track of things like credit) go to both of us. Lots of give and take.
What Kristy wanted was a cleaner look to her blog. Between the two of us, we decided on a color palette of white, gray, and touches of red and black. The rest of the color comes from her jewelry photos, which she has just redone to match her new direction (and I love the way they look).
