52 Colors :: Week 50

This post is part of my 52 Colors Project. You can see all of the posts here.

See this? It’s physical evidence of my recent art buying spree, and this isn’t even all of it. I maybe went a little overboard, considering I already have another stack of art waiting to be framed… which is larger than this stack.

Don’t tell the artists.

I had this great notion of an art wall, with frames and ledges and mats. Have I worked on said art wall yet? No. Have I bought the frames? Nope. Have I bought the mat boards, at least? Uh-uh.

I also haven’t bought any Christmas gifts yet, either, which should make the next two weeks insane. Or insanely exciting, one of the two.

All I can say is that Christmas snuck up on me this year. Like a ninja. A stealthy, stealthy ninja. I don’t know how that happened, exactly, but I do know ninja attacks are very rarely foreseen. I also suspect some warping of time, too. Tricky ninjas.

Anyway, I’m off to take care of a little shopping.

What are you doing on this Sunday?

In case you’re curious, within this stack of prints is work from Mae Chevrette, Sixth and Main, 74 Lime Lane, and Life Through the Lens.

  1. I was in sleep training hell. However, I’ve seen so many nice frame arrangements on pinterest. When you mentioned all your art needing framing, made me want to tell you to go snooping to see what you could find over there. :)

  2. I need to do just that. Get the pictures I have been hoarding (for months or years) into frames. And I have a ton of frames. And a ton of pictures in frames. Just none on the walls!

    I made custom orders. I went to a family party. I wore my beautiful Caties Blue earrings to church with my new merlot colored top – too perfect. I think I finished shopping. No wait. I still need to get gift certificates and/or gifts for my sister, her husband, my dad and my mom – who decided to lift the ban on adults gifting this year and didn’t tell me.

    Let’s all be insanely excited these last two weeks. Yay!

    Enjoy the day!

    P.S. I just love your 52 weeks of color. I got out my PDF of that from you and hope to add that to my blogging for 2012. Hold me to it! ;-)

  3. Hee! Brandi, I’m guilty of this too! I have a Katie Daisy print and a Geninne Zlatkis original I’ve been meaning to frame for two months and I just keep putting it off because there are no good framers around here. Your post made me think about doing it asap – hopefully this weekend?
