52 Colors :: Week 40

Some people can’t handle stress well. I’m no stranger to stress or pressure, and frankly, neither one scares me; if anything, it’s a sign that I’m doing something right that my plate is so full, or at the very least, it’s a learning experience. What I personally can’t handle well is change.
I do not do well with change. New haircuts, new clothes, new life decisions, moving, readjustments? These are things that scare me and make me nervous, like crazy painted clowns or porcelain dolls or heights. I’ve got two big changes coming up, looming over me (three if you could a birthday, but I don’t), and I’m so anxious about it. Nothing I can do about either thing, of course (or the birthday), but that doesn’t help the churning inside.
Which didn’t help the stomach virus last week, let me tell you.
The only remedy for it is time. And the Hawaiian version of chicken soup.
