I’m feeling a little tired of thinking today, so I went looking for quiet, soothing prints. I wish at least one was hanging up on my wall right now. Aren’t they lovely and serene? Each gives me a sense of peace.
My head feels full and kind of sloshy. Not in a “I’m getting sick” kind of way, but in a “there are so many ideas swimming around up there right now I can’t think” kind of way. There are a couple of projects that I’m working on right now that have me feeling absolutely stumped and frustrated and a little let down. The single digit temperatures we got slammed with aren’t helping any, and I’m about as thrilled with it as you might think (last week it was in the 60s and 70s – so cruel).
Tomorrow will be better, I’m almost sure of it.
How about you? What calms you down when your brain is on over-drive?

Gorgeous! This palette is very similar to the one we've put together for our new home!
Those are soothing. I am sick. So I need all the soothing I can get. I don't really want to move, every part of me hurts, and I am so tired that my typing is getting slurred (it is taking me forever to type this). I walk away when I need a break. I try something new. I spend some time with my kids. I stare out the window. I immerse myself in a book. I take a bubble bath (ooh that sounds good right about now!). I hope that you turn this fallow time into fertilizer for your next big idea! Enjoy the day, Brandi!

Meditating helps me when my brain goes crazy… also, a cup of herbal tea afterward. If those don't help, then I make lists! Sometimes having it down to look at visually, especially for projects, keeps things more ordered in my head.
I love the serene prints… very Zen!
very nice and refreshing….everything is so bold in the color these days. Not that I don't love that, but this is a nice little break!!! Congrats on your new site….looks really nice. Good luck!
Depending on the weather I either find sittig and reading a good works ~ or taking a walk along the beach can be soothing for the soul.
just lovely prints! i hope you are doing better today my friend. yesterday was a little like that for me too!
This is such a wonderful blog! I am so inspired by it. Can't wait to keep coming back : )
