Color Palette #55 :: Gemstones

Photo by me

I had a few extra photos that I didn’t use for Monday’s 52 Colors post, which works out perfectly for today (I love when that happens). They were so pretty, I had to pick one for today’s color palette. Strange, but after so many color palettes, I think this might actually be the first one with gemstones as the focus. That’s pretty funny, if you think about it.

Before you go and have a fabulous weekend, I’ve got a question. I know there are a few of you who’ve told me that you’d love to do color palettes yourself but you just don’t have the time to make one. What if I got you halfway there? Would you be interested in a color palette template download? Totally free, made by me for you to use as you like. You’d still need to have Photoshop or Photoshop Elements to use it, so before I go make it and upload it, I thought I’d gauge interest. If there were a lot of people interested, maybe we could do another Color Palette Blog Walk soon……….. just an idea. 🙂

What do you think?

  1. I've been meaning to try out making color palettes myself for a while now after being inspired by the ones you make. But I just never seem to get around to it, so a template could be the kick in the butt needed 🙂

  2. Bring it! That is the thing that I need to do this right. I just don't have the time to figure it out myself, and I have Photoshop Elements but I know just enough to be dangerous 😉 I would love to play along with you!
    Enjoy the day!

  3. I have Photoshop but I'm still learning my way around it. You almost need a licence to run the thing!

    Your template is a brilliant idea, Brandi…count me in!

  4. I learned how to do them from your tutorial! I love the color palette blog walk… so much fun! Didn't you notice that the largest number of similar posts on my blog was about color palettes? 😉

    Count me in!

    Oh, I LOVE the gem photos/palettes!! I'm a rock hound, so these really speak to me… xo

  5. You guys are awesome! I'll go ahead and work on it for next week, and maybe announce another Color Palette Blog Walk, too, so we can all plan ahead!

  6. These are some incredible palettes! I am a huge fan of naturally created color combination and the second one (the browns) is definitely one that I would love to try in a design 🙂

  7. Brandi,

    I would also love to participate. I've been posting palettes every Saturday on my blog:

    I've been subscribed to your blog for awhile, so I will keep a look out for the Color Palettes Blog Hop post.

  8. Yes! I love color and would love a tool that helped do the palettes like you've been doing. Sounds like a lot of fun and I'd participate in a walk, too.
